Lochwinnoch Community Council Statement

Viewfield Rovers recently publicised an article which wrongly stated that Lochwinnoch Community Council have alternative plans for Viewfield Park and that Viewfield Rovers are disappointed by the lack of support from Lochwinnoch Community Council.

Viewfield Rovers was served notice to quit Viewfield Park by Renfrewshire Council, following discussions between Renfrewshire Council’s Asset & Estates and Renfrewshire Leisure who own and manage the facility respectively.

After Renfrewshire Council’s Asset & Estates let it be known that they would take forward discussions with any other parties interested in the lease, a proposal from recognised representatives within our community formed a ‘Lochwinnoch Community Trust’ and submitted a proposal with Renfrewshire Council’s Asset & Estates to develop Viewfield Park into a facility that can be used, not only for football, but for other activities for all age groups within our community.
